About Us
After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from Kingston University, Sarah furthered her academic knowledge by completing an MSc in Environmental Science at Birkbeck College, University of London. Following this, she joined a global environmental engineering company as a graduate and completed a Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control through the Institute of Acoustics (IoA) while working full-time, specialising in environmental acoustics and vibration.

She then joined the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), where she completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, including legal training at Warwick School of Law. During her time at HSE, Sarah worked initially out of the Glasgow office, laterally transferring to the London office.
​
Sarah has carried out inspections and enforcement within the aeronautical engineering, shipbuilding, MOD facilities, agriculture and arboriculture, automotive, metalworking, woodworking, printing, food and drink manufacturing and packaging, gas safety, and fairground and attractions sectors. Sarah has been involved in investigating numerous serious and fatal accidents and has prepared and submitted numerous prosecution files to the CoPFS in Scotland, as well as preparing and presenting prosecution cases in the Magistrates' Court in England.

She has experience working in the construction industry, both directly for a large Tier 1 company and laterally within the environmental consultancy industry for contractors on large infrastructure projects, including HS2.
​
Sarah has a wide range of clients whom she supports in implementing and maintaining health and safety management systems; providing competent health and safety advice and guidance; conducting incident/accident investigations; and conducting site inspections/audits and reporting.
​
Currently, she is engaged by NEBOSH as a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ on the content and supporting materials for the Level 6 National and International Diploma for OHS Management Professionals. Additionally, she is a series editor for several subtopics of the NEBOSH International Diploma coursebook.
She is also engaged by the IOSH Academy as an Academic Tutor to deliver their Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, as well as working directly for the University of Strathclyde as an Academic Tutor on their 3-year postgraduate programme in Safety and Risk Management (PgCert/PgDip/MSc).
​
